Nina Marsilio

Austintown - Prayers will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Austintown for Nina A. Marsilio, 76, who passed away Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Nina was born April 14, 1936, in Bugnara L'Aquila, Italy, a daughter of the late Oddino and Josephine DiFiore Felice.
She grew up in Pittsburgh, and graduated from St. Paul's Cathedral. She came to the Youngstown area when she married in 1957. Nina was a member of St. Joseph Church and their choir for many years. She was also a founding member of St. Joseph Ladies Guild. Nina enjoyed her time with her quilting friends and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
Her husband, Emilio L. Marsilio, whom she married Sept. 7, 1957, passed away Oct. 28, 2008.
Nina leaves her two daughters, Amy A. Marsilio and Jo Marie Marsilio, both of Austintown; her son, Jerry Mary Marsilio of Chicago; a granddaughter, Angela Zack Cain of Texas; and a great-granddaughter Kayla Cain of Texas.
Nina was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Felice.
Family and friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
