Pat Orlando

MASON - Prayers will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Pat Orlando, 78, formerly of Poland, who passed away Tuesday morning at West Chester Hospital in West Chester.
Pat was born July 17, 1934, in Youngstown, the son of the late Nick and Lucy Appligese Orlando.
Pat graduated from East High School in 1952. He was employed by LTV, formerly Youngstown Sheet & Tube. Pat served in the U.S. Army for four years and was stationed in Germany for 18 months.
He was a member of the Holy Family Church for 40 years and more recently St. Susanna Church in Mason.
Pat is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Tokash, whom he married Oct. 10, 1959; his daughter, Karen Scot Armstrong of Medina; and his son, Dr. Marc Beth Orlando of Mason. Pat was a loving and devoted grandfather to Andrew, Katie, Kelly, Josh, Morgan, Jake, Jaxon, and Margot. One of six children, he is survived by brothers Mike of California and John Minnie of Boardman and his sisters, Mary Antal and Rose Tufaro, both of Austintown.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Sam.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
