Patricia Bryson

CANFIELD - Prayers will begin Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, for Patricia A. Bryson, 51, who died Saturday evening at her home with her family at her side.

Patricia was born March 17, 1959, in Youngstown, the daughter of Jackson D. and Elizabeth Yelenik West Sr.

She was a 1977 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and was the owner operator of Rusco Design Center. In 2007 she moved the family business from its longtime location in Youngstown to its new location in Boardman, expanding its product line.

She was a former member of St. Charles Church, a member for more than 25 years and past president of the Hitchcock Woods garden club, and was active in scouting, serving as a Den Mother and receiving scouting's highest award, the Silver Beaver. She was also a member of the Regional Chamber, the Better Business Bureau, the Home Builders Association and the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

Her husband, William R. Bryson, whom she married May 27, 1978, died Aug. 9, 2002.

She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth West of Austintown; a daughter, Jennefer Kenis Keathley of Sullivan, Ohio; a son, Christopher H. Bryson of Canfield; her fiance, Darrell Shobel and his children, Daniel, Elizabeth and Michael Shobel; two sisters, Shirley Larry Langties of Austintown and Betty West of Mineral Ridge; two brothers, Jackson D. Nance West Jr. of Arizona and Scott West of Youngstown; a grandson, Logan C. Keathley; her mother-in-law, Carolyn Bryson; and sister-in-law Janice Bryson.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Jackson D. West Sr., and her father-in-law, Richard P. Bryson

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley in Patricia's memory.
