Patricia Ann (Clemens) Gordon born on June 6, 1939 in Gloversville, New York departed this life on June 18, 2024, in Austintown, Ohio, surrounded by the love of her family.
Patty was a dedicated nurse's aid, and worked in home healthcare for the elderly most of her career. However, her true passion in life was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and she found immense joy in caring for her loved ones. Whether it was coaching her youngest daughter’s softball team, making Sunday Sauce and Meatballs or being the greatest supporter and protector of all five daughters, it was always about family. Patty always expressed grace and a nurturing quality to friends, extended family and neighbors by baking Popovers, Almond Pastry and Delores Delight, often sharing recipes.
Mrs. Gordon enjoyed 50 wonderful years married to her “boyfriend” Robert (Bob) Gordon where they shared a lifetime of good natured banter, music, dancing and playing uno or gin rummy with their grandkids. The home they shared was full of great food, love and laughter. A place where all were welcome to come sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and good conversation!
Patty is survived by her daughters Sherry Greenwell (Danny), Jean Mowrey (Kurt), Robi Raymond (Bob), Kelly Bury (Rich Reitz), and Jennifer Leskovac (John). Patty’s grandchildren who are left to carry on her memory include Fred, Kori, Seneka, Zach, Chris, Penny, Stephanie, Kati, Robert, Olivia, Luke, and Chloe, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Patty was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert H. Gordon, parents Raymond G. Clemens and Margaret E. (Petrolo) Clemens, as well as brothers Dennis and Raymond (Butch) Clemens; and her special aunt, Anne Marro.
The family would like to thank the staff and Patty’s friends on “Unit 700” and longtime personal caregivers Angie Barth and Renee Gains for their love, support and kindness over the years.
A private service was held for the family on June 29th at Resurrection Cemetery with Father Fedor officiating and Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home assisting with the arrangements.
The family requests in lieu of flowers please donate to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Patricia’s name. https://donate.nationalmssociety.org/index.cfmfuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=529#donate May her soul always rest in peace.
