Born on January 27, 1935, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Harlan and Irene Beabout Delany.
Patricia began her professional journey in nursing after graduating from Austintown Fitch High School and earning an associate's degree in nursing from Glendale Community College in Arizona. She committed herself to the nursing profession, working first as a lab instructor in Arizona before returning to her roots in Ohio. There, she dedicated herself to St. Elizabeth Hospital, serving the community in Cardiac Rehab until her retirement in 1990. Her contributions to healthcare were profound, reflecting her compassion and expertise.
In addition to her nursing career, Patricia was deeply involved in her church community. She was very active at Grace Lutheran Church, where she shared her love of music by singing in the choir. Patricia was also a committed member of the Board, contributing her time and talents to the church's missions. Notably, she designed two beautiful stained glass windows that still grace the church today. Her community service extended beyond the church as she was a beloved member of the Meander Sweet Briar Garden Club and the Applewood Golf League, where she enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow members.
Patricia is survived by her three children, Deborah Wagner of Austintown, Robert (Missy) Lippiatt of Port Smith, Virginia and Scott Lippiatt of Austintown. She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren, Michael (Christie) Cherrington, Matthew (Diana) Cherrington, Alan Lippiatt, Andrew Lippiatt, Kyle Lippiatt, and Greg Gates.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Lippiatt, whom she married on October 31, 1952, and who passed away on August 9, 2009. Patricia was also preceded by her parents and her brother, Bill Delany.
