STRUTHERS - Prayers will begin Friday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church for Patricia A. Skowron, 75, who passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Patricia was born Aug. 14, 1935, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph J and Stella Bush Skowron.
After attending St. Patrick School and South High School, Patricia worked at Liberty Manufacturing until its closing and then became the caregiver for her parents and helping with her family and her dogs. She also was a volunteer at Assumption Nursing Home when it was located on Youngstown's South side. She was a former member of St. Patrick Church and currently a member of St. Nicholas Church.
She was an avid sports fan, especially the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by four sisters, Katherine Zellers-Harrison of Boardman, Jean Norbert Eidam of Streetsboro, Marjorie Eagan of Boardman and Gloria Roland Carey of Frederick, Md.; six brothers, Joseph Vilma Skowron of Austintown, Robert Judy Skowron Frederick, William Hilda Skowron of N. Ridgeville, Thomas Kathy Skowron of Dayton, Donald Debbie Skowron of North Lima and Ronald Denise Skowron of Youngstown; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Biss.
