Patricia West

AUSTINTOWN – A prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Mrs. Patricia E. West who died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, after a seven year courageous fight with cancer.

Patricia “Pat” was born Dec. 27, 1942, in Youngstown a daughter of James and Anna Shellock Quinn.

She graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1960.

Pat had worked for Dr. Tiberio for many years and than worked with Dr. Ricciardi at Primary Care Associates, both as a medical secretary.

She had bowled with the Twilighters Bowling League at Wedgewood Lanes from 1958 to 2016. Pat enjoyed going to car races, casinos, listening to live music and spending summers at Lake Milton. She was an exquisite baker, kolachi and pies were her specialties, and they were the best! Pat loved life especially spending time with her family and friends.

Pat married her husband, Charles “Chuck” West at St. Christine Church on Oct. 5, 1963.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Chuck West; three daughters, Monica (Denny) Bucci of Boardman, Jessica (Gary) Russell of Canfield and Marian (Todd) Blessing of Austintown; brother James (Peg) Quinn of Canfield; four grandchildren, Nicholas Bucci, Jared and Sydney Russell and Todd Edward Blessing Jr.; two close nieces, Cheryl Bair and Mary Lou Gibbs; and lifetime best friends, Shirley Hood and Teddi Oberman.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Stephanie Bucci.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
