VILLA MARIA, PA. - Prayers will begin Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at the Holy Family Church for Patsy L. Biscardi, 97, who died at his home early Wednesday morning.
Patsy was born Sept. 24, 1915, in Rahway, N.J., the son of Augustine and Irene Malafront Biscardi.
He had served in the Army Infantry during World War II. He later worked at Hilton Clothing Manufacturers as a clothing presser for 44 years, before retiring in 1979.
He moved to this area in 1988 from Rahway, where he had been a member of the Catholic War Veterans and the American Legion. Patsy was an avid BINGO player and was lovingly cared for by LIFE Lawrence County.
He is survived by his wife, the former Theresa Potvin, whom he married June 16, 1946; two sons, Dr. Augustine Donna Biscardi of Pennsylvania and Wilfred Karen Biscardi of Rahway; a sister, Mary Zambuto of Holmdel, N.J.; four grandchildren, Paul "Andy" Biscardi, Jonathan Biscardi, and Ashley and Krystin Biscardi; two great-grandchildren, Paul Andrew and Emelia Biscardi; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Josephine Barberio, Angelina Olivieri and Cecilia Firetto; a brother, Anunzio Biscardi; and a grandson, Brandon Paul Biscardi.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Eastern Regional Kidney Foundation 4822 Market St., Suite No. 240, Youngstown, OH 44512.
