Paul Jones

BOARDMAN - A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, officiated by Pastor Dave Watkins, for Paul Jones, 73, who died Tuesday evening.

Paul, affectionately  known as ”Butch” was born Dec. 9, 1945, in Youngstown, a son of Paul and Dorothy (Cole) Jones.

Upon graduating from Austintown Fitch High School in 1963, he served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He then made his career working as a Spot Welder and Coordinator at G.F. Business Equipment for 27 years.

In his free time, Paul loved going to casinos and watching western movies. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying yard work and wood work. Above all, Paul’s greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughter, Gianna.

Paul is survived by his wife, Lenore Jones, whom he married Oct. 17, 1995; his daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Sam Speziale of Boardman, and their daughter, Gianna; two brothers, William (Patty) Jones of Youngstown and Don Jones of Youngstown; dear friends, Butch and Joyce Shood, Dale and Kathy Williams, and Jon and Mary Lou  Hitesman.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Connie Jones, who died Sept. 11, 1992.

Family and friends may attend calling hours  on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the  Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starr’s Centre Drive.
