AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Monday at 11:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Paul J. Williams age 78 of Austintown who died Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Paul was born July 13, 1926, in Youngstown, the son of Gomer and Mamie James Williams.
He was a 1944 graduate of South High School, and had served in the Navy during W.W. II. In 1952 he graduated from Youngstown College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He began his working career at the Youngstown Vindicator, and later worked at the former Youngstown Sheet and Tube / LTV Steel Corporation in its tubular sales division. After his retirement from LTV, he worked several years at H & R Block. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served on its finance committee, and had been a former Scout Leader for Boy Scout Troop # 121.
He is survived by his wife the former Virginia M. Dusko whom he married October 3, 1953, two sons Dave and his wife Kathy Williams of Sacramento, California, and Mark and his wife Debi Williams of Scottsdale, Arizona, two grandsons Jacob, and Alex Williams, a nephew Paul Williams, and a niece Debbie Smith.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jayne Williams, and a brother Gomer "Bud" Williams, Jr.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 7 PM Sunday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
