He was born Feb. 17, 1948, in Youngstown, a son of Steve and Mary Yaniglos Zornjak.
After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1966, Paul bravely served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
His commitment to service extended beyond the military as he selflessly coached Little League for the Uptown Kiwanis and was an active member of the Holy Name Society of St. Matthias Church. Paul also was an active member of the Knights of Columbus 3813, where he served as past deputy grand knight and was involved in the President Charity Foundation.
Paul was a dedicated steel worker who spent over 30 years at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and LTV.
Known for his love of sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and Indians, Paul’s enthusiasm for March Madness led him all the way to Las Vegas to experience the excitement firsthand. A skilled bocce player at the Passotrano Club, where he served as bocce commissioner and an avid bowler, he found joy in friendly competition.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his niece, Victoria L. Duritza.
Paul is survived by his sister, Carol (William) Duritza of Youngstown; brother, Raymond S. (Eileen) Zornjak of Poland; nephews, William (Christina) Duritza, Robert (Julie) Duritza, Nicholas (Ashley) Duritza and Raymond and Peter Zornjak; five great-nephews and three great-nieces.
