BROOKFIELD - Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Phillip Ferranti, 62, who died unexpectedly early Sunday morning.
Phillip was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Youngstown, the son of Harry and Emma McCormick Ferranti.
He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained serving his country. He had worked at INDELEX aluminum for over 10 years until its closing. Phillip enjoyed amusement parks and bowling, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Roselynn Ferranti, whom he married Nov. 8, 1975; a sister, Judy Orr; two brothers, Harry Ferranti and Melvin McCormick; step children, Sherree Jo Kalasky, Roxann Bill Pounds and Rocco Luscre; grandchildren Tony, Jason, Kim, Ken, Kacy and Rocky; great-grandchildren Alysa, Anthony, Austin, Dylan, Jordan, Jace, Jacob and Leah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Charlotte Ladick; and his daughter-in-law, Amy Luscre.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home in Austintown.
