YOUNGSTOWN - A memorial Mass will be held Saturday at noon, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, officiated by the Rev. Msgr. John Zuraw, for Phyllis R. Bellino, 94, who died Tuesday afternoon at Hampton Woods Nursing Center in Poland.
Ms. Bellino was born on Oct. 14, 1921, in Hubbard, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Lancione) Rosile.
Phyllis was the matriarch of her family. She was a homemaker, and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking for her entire family, especially her infamous Sunday dinner.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, where she was involved in the ladies guild, and most recently, the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Austintown. She was also a member of the Austintown Eagles Club. She liked to travel, crochet, play cards, sew, and enjoyed the company of her friends.
Her husband, Joe "Babs" Bellino, whom she married on Oct. 2, 1948, died on Dec. 31, 2003.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by her three children, Rosemary (Bill) Hudak of Austintown, Rocky (Iva) Bellino of Austintown, and Joe (Kathy) Bellino of Hubbard; nine grandchildren, Rochelle Bellino, Nick Bellino, Tarah (Steve) Ortz, Joey (Jen) Hudak, Michael Hudak, Danielle (Ryan) Philibin, Michelle (Mike) Luna, Janine (Brad) Bahler, and Sam Bellino; nine great-grandchildren, Mark and Mario Fusillo, Aubree and Carson Philibin, Leah, Sophie, and Alex Hudak, Vincent Ortz, and Cora Bahler; two stepgrandchildren; Everett (Amanda) Briggs, and Lee (Francine) Briggs; and six stepgreat-grandchildren, Chloe, Brian, Dominic, David, Brayden, and Julianne.
Besides her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her two sisters, Fran Carsone and Marge LaCivita; and three brothers, Phillip, Nick, and Angelo Rosile.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the church.
The Bellino family wants to extend their gratitude to Omni West, Hampton Woods, and Hospice of The Valley for their compassionate care of Phyllis.
Arrangements of comfort and care are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
