YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Phyllis Brainard, 89, who passed away Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Phyllis was born Dec. 11, 1921 in Youngstown, the daughter of Earl and Ann Miles Easton.
Phyllis graduated from East High School. She worked at St. Elizabeth Health Center for 35 years as a supervisor in the linen services. She enjoyed bingo and traveling to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
Her husband, George C Brainard, whom she married in 1945, passed away April 30, 1984.
Phyllis leaves her two sons, Gary Brainard of Austintown and Earl Brainard of Youngstown; a stepson, George C Brainard; her twin brother, Phillip Easton of Boardman; three grandchildren, Gary Brainard Jr. of Youngstown, Sheri Ostrowski of Struthers and Toni Hayes of Youngstown; and two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brianna Ostrowski of Struthers.
Besides her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by a brother, Alex Easton.
The family will be receiving friends Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
