Girard - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 AM at St. Maron Church for Phyllis J. Petrella, 60, who passed away Monday evening after losing the battle to breast cancer at the Hospice House surrounded by her family.
Phyllis was born March 18, 1949 in Meadville, PA, the daughter of Lloyd R. and Betty J. Tyler Johnson.
Phyllis was a 1967 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and later attended Cosmetology School where she became a licensed cosmetologist. She was manager at Midwest Money Center until the time of her illness. She was a member of St. Maron Church.
Phyllis leaves her husband Nicholas Petrella whom she married Nov. 18, 1975; a daughter Stacey Scott Mihalick of Canfield; a step son Nicholas Donna Petrella of Austintown; a sister Trena Michael Dohar of Canfield; a brother Lloyd Shirley Johnson of New Middletown; four grandchildren Nichole Liberto, Monica Petrella, Nicholas Petrella, and Miah Mihalick; and a great grandchild Baylor Liberto and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Johnson and her most precious, her mother Betty Johnson Novotny.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and Friday from 9 to 9:45 AM at St. Maron Church
