Phyllis Vinsack

AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Austintown Community Church for Phyllis M. Vinsack, 84, who passed away early Thursday morning at Hospice House.

Phyllis was born March 26, 1928, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Lester and Annalea Houk Wolfe Sr.

She was a bank teller for McKinley Federal Savings and Loan. She was a member of the Austintown Community Church, the Ruth Circle and worked in the Need Room at the church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Saxon Club.

Her husband, Steve Vinsack, whom she married April 24, 1954, passed away Nov. 3, 1993.

Phyllis leaves her daughter, Joyce Frank DePuy of Austintown; her two sons, Donald Beth Vinsack of Rock Hill, S.C. and Robert Lisa Vinsack of Ashland; her sister, Iva Lou Donelson of Youngstown; her brother, James Mary Lou Wolfe of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; eight grandchildren, Scott Vinsack, Jason Breanne DePuy, Trisha Chevon Scott, David DePuy, Lacey Kellerhals, Britteny Howell, Olivia Vinsack, and Joshua Vinsack; and eight great-grandchildren, Brenden, Aden, Devin, and Skyler DePuy, Nicole and CJ Scott, Avery Vinsack and Noah Kellerhals.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Norene Carney and Ruth Gillespie and four brothers, Lester Wolfe Jr., Mark Wolfe, Rev. Orrin Wolfe and Howard Wolfe Sr.

Family and friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley.
