Rachelle Gaid-Sargious

CANFIELD - Rested in peace on the hope or Resurrection May 7, 2019, Rachelle Gaid-Sargious, 81 years old in her house in Canfield.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Lamey F. Sargious, along with her parents Shafik and Isis Gaid and two brothers Gatas and Safout of Egypt.
She will be greatly missed by her children Lucy Sargious wife of Dr. Nabil Hanna of Cleveland, Farid L. Farid MD and wife Dr. Hoda of Las Vegas, Nabila Sargious MD and her husband Emad Baky MD of Canfield, Ehab Sargious MD and his wife Dr. Nivine Sedra of Canfield.
She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Mary Hanna, wife of George Youssef MD and Nancy Hanna MD, wife of Amgad Takla, MD. of Cleveland, Amir Farid MD and Bishoy of Nevada, Dina Baky of Manhattan, Fady Baky MD and David, Dominic and Natalie Sargious of Canfield and greatgrandchildren, Simon, Andrew, Gabriella and Natalie.
She will also be missed by her sister Dr. Marcel Gaid wife of Dr. Fathy Ibrahim of Australia and their son, Michael Ibrahim MD.
She was a beloved active member of St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church of Ambridge, PA and of St. Mary and St. John the Beloved Convent of Howland and will be missed by both congregations.
Calling hours will be held at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home 3701 Starr Center, Canfield Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at St Paul’s Chapel, 3755 South Raccoon Road in Canfield on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a burial at Dean Hill Cemetery, then a gathering to celebrate her life with close friends and family.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, tributes take the form of donations to the Coptic Orphans, PO Box 2881, Merrifield, VA 22116.
