YOUNGSTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Youngstown for Rae J. (Sabino) Babos, 68, who passed away Friday afternoon at Caprice Health Care.
Rae was born September 3, 1944, in Youngstown, to Raymond and Italia "Lee" (Popio) Sabino.
She was a 1962 graduate of Chaney High School and worked as a hair dresser for 30 years. Rae was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She was an avid Cincinnati Red's baseball fan, enjoyed playing in several card clubs, going to the casino and fishing.
Rae is survived by her husband, F. George Babos, whom she married April 25, 1964; a daughter Roxanne (Tom) Moltchan of Austintown; a sister Isabel (Bob) Pupino of Austintown; and three grandchildren, Leanne, Dominic and Melanie Moltchan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Louis Sabino.
Family and friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to The American Cancer Society, 525 N Broad St. Canfield, OH 44406.
Professional arrangements are being handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
