Rebecca Eliser

BOARDMAN ? Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Mrs. Rebecca Ann Eliser, 83, who died Monday morning at her home.

She was born July 25, 1926, in Youngstown, a daughter of Frank and Mary McCreary Liston.

Mrs. Eliser also known as ?Becky? was a 1944 graduate of South High School.

She worked at Islay?s Dairy, where she met her husband and love of her life, Robert J. Eliser, whom she married March 2, 1945 and who died Aug. 2, 2004.

Retiring in 1986 from Sears and Roebuck as a manager of the women?s department after 30 years of dedicated service, Rebecca opened ?The Skate Shop? in Boardman until her retirement in 1996.

She was a member of the Victory Christian Center and an active member in the A.B.W.A. for over 20 years and had been awarded the Women of the Year award.

Rebecca enjoyed her monthly South High class meetings and loved to crochet outfits for newborns and gave them away to many people and organizations. Rebecca loved and cherished her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Judi Wayne Reel of Canfield; a son, Frank Marianne Eliser of Boardman; six grandchildren, Robert, James, Sara and Megan Eliser, Katherine Jeremy Thompson and Timothy Doherty; and six great-grandchildren, Kain, Logan, Enlil and Sebastian Eliser, and Isabella and Camden Thompson.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son Robert J. Eliser Jr.; and a sister, Mary Jane Marshall.

Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Mary C., Ruby and Mary V. for their love, care, dedication and devotion for their mom.
