Renaldo Monaco

BOARDMAN - Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Church for Renaldo "Len" Monaco age 87 of Boardman who passed away Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Monaco was born Sept. 10, 1917 in Youngstown, a son of Antonio and Enrichetta Sufalutto Monaco.
He was a member of the operative plasters and cement masons union, and worked as a cement finisher for varies area contractors for 43 years before retiring. Len was an Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater during WW II as a member of the 543rd Field Artillery Battalion. He was a member of St. Charles Church and enjoyed walking 3 miles every day at the Millcreek Park East golf walk and bike trail.
Mr. Monaco was married to the former Mary Yonnotti whom he married March 10, 1940, she preceded him in death Nov. 27, 1998.
He is survived by a son Anthony Gloria Monaco of Canfield and two sisters Argentina and Olga Monaco both of Youngstown, four grandchildren Gina Kraig Kesner, Michelle Tim Haniford, Anthony Shannon Monaco II, and Nicholas Monaco, and nine grandchildren, Morgan, Kennedy, Kassidy, Dominic, Vincent, Karter, Joseph, Anthony III, and Karson.
Besides his wife he was also preceded in death by a sister Lena Monaco and a brother Oliver Monaco.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Charles School Scholarship fund in Renaldo's name.
