WARREN ? Rev. Mary Margaret Thompson, of Hall Street, entered eternity Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at 10 p.m.


A 1965 graduate of Youngstown State University, she worked as a social worker for Lake-to-River Girl Scout Council and the Mahoning County Welfare Department. She worked for several years as a business manager at Meridian Arms Living Center and worked in various health care settings in the area of medical billing and management.


She worked until her retirement at the National Safety Council and worked until recently as a cashier at the Jamestown Giant Eagle.


She devoted 31 years of her life to worship ministry at various locations in the Youngstown-Warren area. She completed her last eight years of service at Our Way Home Christian Fellowship in Girard.


The daughter of Paul and Gertrude Robinson Almasy, both deceased, she leaves her sister, Janet Almasy; her husband, Chester Ralph Thompson; a daughter, Kathleen Eric Altman; a grandson, Joshua Altman; a son, David Geier; stepson Jeremiah April Thompson and their children, Dustin, Jaclyn and Katie, and stepson Joshua; a mother-in-law, Vivian Thompson; and a large extended family.


Rev. James Gaskill of Our Way Home Christian Fellowship will complete her surrender to the Lord in services to be held at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.


Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with the service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
