Austintown - Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the
Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Richard S. "Dickie" Ellis, 75, who passed away Tuesday morning at Meridian Arms.
Richard was born in Youngstown, the son of Stephen and Susie Onusko Ellis.
Richard was an Ironworker for Local 207 for 45 years. He was a member of the AMA Club, Catholic War Veterans 1292 and the Austintown Eagles. Richard was
also a member of CWV Golf League and was awarded ³Most Improved² in 1989.
Richard leaves his wife, the former Donna Lillo, whom he married on Nov. 28, 1980; his three children, Karen Bob Thompson of Charlestown, R.I., Lisa Ratkowski of Austintown and Richard Denise Ellis of Boardman; his three stepchildren, Cheryl Ann Parker of Dallas, Alice Ann Parker of Mesa, Ariz. and Richard A. Parker of St. Louis; five sisters, Helen Hucko of Austintown, Mary George Skebo of Youngstown, Ruth Ray Greco of Boardman, Eleanor Wardle of Youngstown and Patsy Bill Tucker of Poland; five grandchildren, Melissa, Josh, Danielle, Allison and Billy; a great-granddaughter, Olivia; and sister-in-law, Helen Ellis of Girard.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Juliann Roman; a brother, Robert Ellis; and a brother-in-law, Bob Carroll.
Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
