Richard Hubbell

POLAND - Services will be Thursday at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church for Richard H. Hubbell age 53 of Poland, formerly of Pittsburgh who passed away Sunday morning at his home with his family after a two year battle with brain cancer.
Richard was born November 18, 1952, in Pittsburgh, the son of Howard and Helen Mascharka Hubbell.
Richard graduated from Erie Cathedral Prep High School, and earned his bachelor of science degree from Gannon University. He later completed his professional training and received his certification as a Physicians Assistant from the University of Alabama. He had worked as a Physicians Assistant for Forum Health Care Systems in Youngstown for the past six years until the time of his illness. Richard formerly had worked at Allegheny General Hospital, before moving to Poland in 2003. He was a member of Holy Family Church.
He is survived by his wife the former Katherine Grable whom he married December 21, 1990, a daughter Amanda Hubbell at home, four sons R. Brian Hubbell and Matt Hubbell both of Pittsburgh, and Alex and Cameron Hubbell both at home, and a sister Kathy Hubbell of Montana.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Daniel Hubbell.
