Richard Kady

October 29, 1946 — December 27, 2015

NEW MIDDLETOWN - Prayers will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Richard W. Kady, 69, who passed away early Sunday morning with his family by his side.

Richard was born Oct. 29, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of Walter J. and Irene (Simon) Kady.

Richard was a 1964 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. He served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He retired as a postmaster from the U.S. Postal Service. He was an avid bowler and golfer who bowled multiple 300 games and played golf courses from Pebble Beach to Myrtle Beach. After retirement, Richard and his wife, Natalie, started their own business making crafts, where he enjoyed woodworking.

Richard dedicated his time to his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Richard leaves his wife, the former Natalie Lillo, whom he married Oct. 12, 1968; daughter Olivia (Brian) Lydon of Northbrook, Ill.; son Josh (Eszter) Kady of Canfield; five grandchildren, Keira, Nathan, Jillian, Samuel, and Tessza; his mother, Irene Kady of Austintown; sister Sandra (Nick) DiMargio of Boardman; mother-in-law Antoinette Lillo of Poland; and sister-in-law Judy (Don) Lombardo of New Middletown.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Walter J. Kady; and brother Douglas Kady.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
