YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Richard "Dick" G. Kronk, 79, who died Friday afternoon at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
Dick was born May 20, 1936, in Youngstown, the son of Michael and Mary (Bodnar) Kronk.
He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and served his country in the U.S. Army.
Dick worked for General Motors as an electrician for 27 years, until his retiring in 1998.
He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Church, Ellen Lodge No. 276 and the Mahoning County Coon Hunters Prevention Club.
Dick loved attending high school football games, but his greatest joy was his family.
Dick is survived by his wife, the former Sylvia (Cropp), whom he married June 22, 1957; daughter Denise (Ross) Cooper of Ellsworth; son Todd Kronk of Austintown; brother Michael (JoAnn) Kronk of Ventura, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Timothy and Nicholas Cooper and Angelina Kronk.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
