YOUNGSTOWN - A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on March 22, 2014, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, for Mr. Richard William Lillo, 57, who passed away on March 18, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in the presence of his family following a lengthy illness.
Rick was born in Youngstown on Sept. 13, 1956, a son of Raymond V. Sr. and Mary Lou Crouthers Lillo.
He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and received his Bachelor and his Master's degree in Science from Youngstown State University.
Rick owned a very successful business where he was a licensed professional clinical counselor. He touched many lives with his insight and wisdom. He also was an Army veteran
Rick was an avid collector of antiques, memorabilia, and enjoyed attending auctions , scouring flea markets, and antique shops to find new collectibles. He was an animal lover and left behind his two beloved Chihuahuas.
Rick is survived by his two brothers, Ray Jr. (Chris) Lillo and Randy (Sheri) Lillo; two nephews, Ray Lillo III and Tyler Lillo; and his great nephew, Raymond Lillo IV. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Wendy Wertz.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 until the time of service at the funeral home. A military service will take place following the service on Saturday at Resurrection cemetery.
