ORO VALLEY, ARIZ. ? The life of Richard Lee Terlecki will be celebrated with prayers being offered Saturday at 10:45 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Christine?s Catholic Church.
Richard passed away at his home in Tucson, Ariz. on Saturday, March 6, 2010, after a five-year battle of cancer.
Richard was born Oct. 24, 1947, the son of Leo and Irene Opsitnik Terlecki.
A 1970 graduate of Youngstown State University?s School of Engineering, Richard was the Director of Plant Engineering and Maintenance for Parsons Corporation in Newport, Ind.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Tucson, and a longtime member of St. Christine?s Catholic Church in Youngstown. He was an avid golfer and long distance cyclist.
Richard leaves his wife, Nancy Lasky, who were married June 20, 1970; two daughters, Mollie Brunet and son-in-law, Jeffrey Brunet of Tucson and Abby Terlecki of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and grandson, Noah Parker Brunet Tucson; sisters Mrs. Diane Diekmann of North Canton and Mrs. Marilyn Augustine of Macclesfield, N.C.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Kariann Marie and Jennifer Beth.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Rainbow Chapter in Cleveland.
