Richard T. Viets

YOUNGSTOWN - Richard T. Viets Jr., 48, passed away suddenly on February 4, 2024, at the age of 48.

He was born on January 19, 1976, in Youngstown, a son of the late Richard T. Viets Sr. and the former, Anita Syron.

Richard attended Youngstown State University, furthering his education and expanding his knowledge. He worked at Bud's Sign Shop, where his innate talent and passion for design flourished. Richard served his country as a proud member of the United States Navy.

Richard is survived by four sons, Thomas J. (Valerie) Gallison, Matthew Weller, Richard T. Viets III, and Andrew Viets; sisters, Tara Szoke, Leah (Rob) Murell, and Sara Syron.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, February 15, 2024 with military honors to follow.
