Rinaldo Ditullio

November 16, 1931 — February 11, 2007

BOARDMAN - Services will be Thursday morning at 10:15 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Church for Rinaldo V. "Ron" Ditullio age 75 who passed away at his home Sunday morning surrounded by his family.

Rinaldo was born November 16, 1931, in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy, the son of Guiseppie and Maria Vespa DiTullio.

He came to this area as a child. After attending East High School, Ron served his country in the Airforce stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He had been trained in the electronics trade and became the general foreman at Lake Park Tool and Die he then became general manager of Truex Tool and Die, and later retired as a tool and die specialist from the GM Lordstown B.O.C. plant after 25 years in 1996. Mr. DiTullio was a member of St. Charles Church. He had a passion for music, and years ago was a member of St. Luke's Church his family sang in the choir and he played the trumpet. He is remembered by his family for having a special song for every occasion. He also enjoyed bowling with his friends and family and was a longtime member of the ITAM bowling league. Rinaldo was very proud of his Italian heritage and had served as a committee chairman for the greater Youngstown Italian Fest, and was a lifelong member of the Bagnolese Club where he was currently serving as Vice President.

He is remembered as a dedicated family man by his family. He is survived by his wife the former Isolina R. "Lina" Lazazzera whom he married June 9, 1956, four daughters, Linda Mike Ilich of Boardman, Lisa D'Onofrio of Stow, Lita Terry Clevenger of Boardman, Deana Duke Girardi of Austintown, nine grandchildren, Michael, Benny, and Ronald Ilich, Brent, Brandon, and Brittany Clevenger, Victor D'Onofrio, and Daniella and Desiree Girardi.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers.

Friends may call from 5 PM to 9 PM Wednesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
