AUSTINTOWN ? Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Rita M. Bowman, 79, who died Saturday at Austin Woods Nursing Center.
Rita was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Connellsville, Pa., to the late Frank and Dora Barboline Fabian.
She was a graduate of The Rayen School. Rita worked for Strouss? Department Store Downtown for many years as an accountant. She also enjoyed working at Catherine?s Dress Shop and the Hallmark Gold Crown Stores in Austintown and Florida, where she spent her winters. Rita loved to bowl, and was very talented at sewing, crocheting and cross-stitching.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Roy Gollner, in 1964, and her second husband, Rolion R. Bowman, in 1980; a brother, Robert Fabian; and great-grandson, William James Myers.
Rita is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Myers, Michele Planton and Janine Kemper; her sons, William and Timothy Gollner; two sisters JoAnn Tokich and Patricia Wolfe; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
