YOUNGSTOWN ? Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Rita P. Klingensmith, 83, who passed away Sunday at Hospice House.
Rita was born Oct. 9, 1926 in Youngstown, the daughter of Patrick and Beatrice Nadrash Costello.
Rita graduated from The Rayen School. She retired from Stackhouse Oldsmobile as a bookkeeper/secretary. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Her husband, Charles Victor Klingensmith, whom she married Nov. 30, 1951, passed away July 3, 1994.
Rita leaves her daughter, Muffy Mark Schulte of Youngstown; two sons, Patrick Nancy Klingensmith of Canfield and Chuck Klingensmith of Youngstown; eight grandchildren, John Lynn, Marty Milliron, Michelle Rob Fiscus, Charlie Klingensmith, Patrick Holly Klingensmith Jr., Tamara Tony Antonaccio, Carol Zieroff and Stacy Pitts; five great-grandchildren, Robert, Kaitlyn, Czara, Kirsten and L.J.; and a very dear friend, Carol Rupert of Youngstown.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Briarfield Manor and Hospice House for their care and support.
