Robert Burnett

AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Robert F. Burnett, 93, who passed away early Sunday morning at Austinwoods.

Robert was born March 3, 1925, in Painesville, a son of the late Robert R. and Alverca M. (Riley) Burnett.

Robert was a processor for Lockey Lee's Dairy. He loved making ice cream because he knew all the children would enjoy it. He was a former member of the Grace Church of the Nazarene in Austintown. Robert had a passion for photography, antiques and flowers. He also loved to sing and brought joy to those who heard him.

His wife, the former Georgina L. "Gina" Cooper, whom he married July 11, 1981, passed away May 22, 2011.

Robert leaves two daughters, Gloria (Mike) Ward of Austintown and Debbie (Ken) Yousko of Struthers; son-in-law, Frank Brown of Youngstown; four grandchildren, J. Matthew Ward, Jessica, Nicole, and Stacey Brown; and five great-grandchildren, Austin and Allison Ward, and Ryan, Natalie, Shiloh Teasley.

Robert was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard Burnett.

Family and friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
