“Eternal Rest Grant onto Bob, O Lord…And Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him….”
BOARDMAN - Friday afternoon, Dec. 7, 2018, was the day that Robert Cavalier, Bob, passed away peacefully into eternal rest with his loving family and friends at his side.
Bob was born on Jan. 25, 1962, and grew up in the Boardman community, graduating from Boardman High School, Class of 1980. Bob excelled at football, baseball and track and was recognized as one of the finest athletes to ever play at BHS. Big, strong and fierce as he was as a competitor on the field – personable, affable and genuinely kind-hearted he was off the field. In fact, Bob had friends from far and wide, ranging from across the United States. Many of whom poured out their love, wishes of wellness and warm sentiments over the last month of his life.
On Aug. 31, 1996, Bob married the love of his life, Debbie Lucarell, and together they had two wonderful, strong sons in Bobby and Carmen – who will continue to honor the Cavalier name. Debbie will certainly miss the neighborhood boy she first met when she was just 10 years old. It was her strength and resilience during this final month that demonstrated how very blessed Bob was in his marriage. Also, Bob’s gracious mother, Rita, will forever miss her son as will his brother, Tony, who resides with his wife, Elisa, son Anthony and daughter Alexandra in Sarasota, Fla. Bob’s father, Robert Sr., predeceased Bob.
Bob’s true essence was his devotion to family and friends. All that knew him, from every ethnic persuasion on this earth, had an immediate and profound connection with him. He had that certain quality to make you laugh, think and feel like you were his best friend.
He never missed one of Bobby or Carmen’s football, basketball or baseball games and often coached those team to ensure the job was done right!
“You will be missed, Robert Cavalier – by your family and your many friends.”
“… May He Rest in Peace, Amen and May His Soul and the Souls of All the Faithfully Departed, Through The Mercy of God, Rest in Place, Amen.”
