POLAND - Robert Kendall Ferguson, 65, passed away Sunday morning at the Cleveland Clinic.
Robert was born March 6, 1947, in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late Thomas Kendall and Mollie Filak Ferguson.
Robert was a 1965 graduate of Lowellville High School. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany and then became involved with the Army Reserve, where he achieved a rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He retired in 2007 from AMSA-110 after 33 years as a Army Maintenance Technician. Following his retirement, he was an assistant zoning inspector for Beaver Township.
Robert enjoyed gardening, computer games and traveling. He was very proud of his baking ribbons that he received at the Canfield Fair. His greatest love was for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert leaves his wife, Pamela Wood Ferguson, whom he married March 21, 1970; his daughter, Lisa Patrick Bennett of Greenford; his son, Tom Tammy Ferguson of Austintown; his sister, Rose Marie Larry Wire of Boardman; and five grandchildren, Erica, Katie, Maddy, Nate and Alyssa.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, where prayers will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Church.
