Robert Grapes

AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Philip Imler, for Robert P. Grapes, 64, who passed away unexpectedly Sunday at his home after a brief illness.

"Rob" was born on March 8, 1952, in Youngstown, a son of the late Robert C. and Phoebe R. (Brown) Grapes.

He was a graduate of Chaney High School and Youngstown State University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Rob retired from YSU in 1996, after 25 years of service.

Rob will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Kris Gregory of Austintown and Maureen (Chris) Yambar of Youngstown; nieces Sarah (Dan) Fisher and Leah Gregory; beloved great-nieces, Faith and Grace Fisher; and great-nephew Christian Fisher.

Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
