STRUTHERS - Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, for Robert Hunter Sr., 62, who died Friday evening at home surrounded by his family.
Robert was born Dec. 2, 1953, in Youngstown, the son of Merle L. and Carrie L. (Heatherington) Hunter.
He was a graduate of South High School and attended Trumbull Business College. Robert worked as a millworker for Metal Services Inc. for 30 years.
Robert is survived by his wife, the former Lori Bennett, whom he shared 26 years together, and were married Feb. 10, 2001; three sons, Bobby Hunter Jr. of Struthers, James Bennett of Struthers, and Butch King of South Carolina; daughter Katrina Bennett of Youngstown; sister Kathleen Knickerbocker of Pittsburgh; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Marjorie Hunter.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm and Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home.
Robert's family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to Crossroads Hospice "Gift of the Day" Program.
