AUSTINTOWN - A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery for Robert F. Lipinsky, 68, who died early Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, surrounded by his family.
Robert was born. May 16, 1947, in Youngstown, the son of Frank and Jeanette (Metzka) Lipinsky.
He was a 1965 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University. Robert was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War.
Robert worked as a pharmaceutical sales rep for Forum Healthcare for many years until retiring in 2003. He also spent many years umpiring baseball games in the area for Ohio High School Athletic Association.
His wife, the former Susan M. Passarelli, whom he married March 18, 1972, died Aug. 3, 2001.
Robert is survived by his children, Shannon (Craig) Mulichak of Canfield and Scott (Tricia) Lipinsky of Austintown; a sister, Marianne Stavana of Zellwood, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Per Robert's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the American Diabetes Association, 4500 Rockside Road, Suite 440, Independence, OH 44131.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
