NORTH JACKSON - Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel for Robert E. Ripley, 67, who died Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Robert was born Aug. 31, 1944, in Youngstown, the son of Earl L. and Ann L. Phillips Ripley.
He attended Western Reserve High School and worked as a welder. He also did home remodeling, and enjoyed helping out at American Auto.
He was a proud member of the Allen Masonic Lodge No. 276 F.&A.M. in Columbiana. Robert loved his cats and especially his dog, Scrappy.
He is survived by his wife, Elma E. Baptiste, whom he married Aug. 26, 1988; two daughters, Danielle Nick Muzzey of Florida and Jennifer Josh Cottrill of Ravenna; a son, Wayne Jones of Deerfield; two sisters, Barbara Wince of Salem and Donna Randal Oesch of New Springfield; two brothers, Earl Elle Ripley Jr. of Berlin Center and William Debbie Ripley of Salem; and nine grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Jr.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, North Jackson Chapel.
