A proud alumni of Woodrow Wilson High School, Robert graduated in 1956. He worked as a dedicated welder for the United Auto Workers until his retirement. His career in welding not only provided for his family but also instilled in him a strong work ethic that he carried throughout his life.
Robert was a family man who found joy in the simplest things. He married the former Karen Swohla on November 10, 2001, sharing many years of love and companionship. Robert also leaves behind his brother, Louis Slepski of Boardman, along with 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom were dear to his heart.
In addition to his joy of family life, he was an avid golfer, embraced dancing, and relished moments spent playing poker with friends. Robert enjoyed the fresh air on his back deck, spending quality time with his family, and engaging in puzzles and crosswords that kept his mind sharp. A supporter of Cleveland sports, he especially loved cheering for the Indians and the Browns.
Robert also endured the loss of loved ones over the years, including his first wife, Kathleen Leone, who passed away in 1992, as well as his daughter, Monica Slepski, and his sisters, Joann Croyle, Evelyn Novello, Louise Korhely, and Dorothy Sobinosvski.
