AUSTINTOWN - Private graveside services were held Thursday morning at the Four Mile Run Cemetery for Carl Robert "Bob" Stephenson, 79, who died Tuesday at his home after an extended illness.
Carl was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Youngstown, the son of Carl A. and Thelma Slagle Stephenson.
He had served in the Army during the Korean War and later worked at Wean United as a carpenter for over 32 years before retiring. He was a member of the Masons and a member of the Four Mile Run Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Darlene Lewis, his daughters, Terri Stephenson and Barbara Thomas, both of Austintown, and grandchildren, Megane Corlew, Rusty Corlew and Zach Thomas.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Corlew.
