CANFIELD - Prayer services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and the funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman for Mr. Robert A. Vasu, 64, who died early Friday morning at The Cleveland Clinic.
Robert was born April 21, 1945, in Youngstown, a son of George and Helen Moldovan Vasu.
He was a 1965 graduate of South High School, a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran and was self-employed, working in mortgage services. Robert enjoyed many hobbies, especially fishing.
Robert leaves his wife, the former Nancy Campy, who he married Sept. 6, 1969; his father, George Vasu of Mineral Ridge; a daughter, Jillene Robert Daloise of Canfield; a granddaughter, Remy who was the apple of his eye; sister-in-law Carma Vasu of Boardman; two nieces, Jodie Johnson and Melissa Lundy; nephew Michael Vasu; and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen and a brother, Lawrence.
Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
