YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, officiated by Pastor Fred Schrock, for Mr. Robert E. Williams, 67, who died Wednesday morning at his home.
Mr. Williams was born in Youngstown, son of Walter and Helen Williams, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Robert graduated from Chaney High School in 1966, and later enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He was of the Catholic faith, and was a member of St. Mary's in Youngstown.
Robert worked for TruGreen, and Pepsi, and was a master mechanic by trade, before retiring in 2012. He enjoyed cars, NASCAR, camping, and was a race car driver.
Robert leaves behind his wife, Vickie Williams, whom he married on Sept. 21, 2014; his mother, Helen Williams; three daughters, Jacqueline Williams of Youngstown, Linda Williams of Alabama, and Kelly (Shawn) Crown of Warren; son Robert E. Williams Jr. of Columbus; stepson William (Danielle) Snow of North Carolina; sister Beverly Valentino of Honolulu; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Deanna, Cassidy, David, Kyla, Taren, and Nathan; and two great-grandchildren Ladell and Landon.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. at the funeral home.
