Rocco Anobile

Youngstown- Rocco Anobile, age 77, of Youngstown, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after an extended illness.

Rocco was born February 5, 1931 in Pittsburgh to the late Anthony and Antionetta Buonfiglio Anobile.

He was a dedicated millwright, retiring from General Motors, Lordstown Assembly Plant in 1993 with 27 years of service.

Rocco proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Youngstown; He was also member of the Korean War Veterans Association.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Joseph Anobile, and a sister Rose Johnson.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Margaret McGrogan Anobile whom he married April 24, 1954; three daughters, Karen Anobile of Youngstown, Marilyn Anobile of Pittsburgh, and Diane Bill Page of Gahanna. A granddaughter Marisa Page, and grandson Michael Rocco Page who is his godson and namesake; a sister Angela Cortese of Pittsburgh, PA

Friends may call Friday 7-9pm, and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel; additional calling hours are in Bridgeville, PA on Sunday from 4-8pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Warchol Funeral Home, 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 1pm in St. Agatha Church, 212 Station St. Bridgeville, PA 15017

Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh

Memorial contributions may be made to the local chapter of the Korean War Veterans' War Memorial Fund or to Angels for Animals.
