CANFIELD - Private family services were held Friday for Roger E. Marsh, 76, who died early Thursday morning at Hospice House, after a long courageous battle with heart disease.
Roger was born June 28, 1937, in Warren, the son of Ernest and Grace (Nutter) Marsh.
He had worked as a car salesman for Downtown Oldsmobile for many years and later retired from R.D. Bank Chevrolet. Roger had over 35 years in the automobile industry.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of the National Auto Dealers Association. Roger was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Indians fan, enjoyed biking, swimming and jogging and had great concern for the welfare of animals and conservation of the earth.
He is survived by his wife, the former Palma "Polly" Berquist, whom he married June 1, 1964; and a daughter, Melissa Marsh-Elliott and husband Jerry Elliott of Dublin, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Grace Marsh; and his mother-in-law, Lucille Berquist.
Roger's family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Albani and Hospice House for their compassionate care during his illness.
