Ronald Lee Griffith

AUSTINTOWN - Ronald Lee Griffith, 89, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, in Austintown, Ohio. 

Born on October 18, 1934, in Belington, West Virginia, to the late Alfred Griffith and Julia V. (Perchan) Griffith. He graduated from Belington High School in 1954. 

For 34 years, Ronald devoted his career as a crane operator to LTV Steel, where he earned a reputation for his skillfulness and commitment. His work ethic was matched only by his love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting with friends in the picturesque landscapes of West Virginia, along with fishing and camping, which allowed him to create lasting memories in nature’s embrace.

He is survived by his son Garry (Donna) Boyles of North Canton, Ohio; his daughters Donna Holbrook of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, and Karen (Edward) Reichart of Warren, Ohio. Additionally, Ronald is remembered by his brother Dwayne Griffith of Belington, WV, and sisters Edna Riccatelli of Belington, West Virginia, Joann Toohey of Connecticut, Linda Knight of Belington, WV, and Catherine Hanelt of Boston, Massachusetts. Ronald also leaves behind nine loving grandchildren, along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. 

Ronald was predeceased by his beloved wife Thelma B. Griffith, his daughter Becky Bielik, and his brothers Billy Griffith, Joseph Griffith, Alfred Griffith Jr., and Jerry Griffith, as well as his sister Marie Snider.

Ronald Lee Griffith will be remembered fondly by family and friends alike, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to the simple joys of life.

Visitation for Ronald will be held on Wednesday October 9, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home - Austintown Chapel located at 4303 Mahoning Ave., followed by a funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM.
