POLAND - Ronald J. Kukura Sr., 79, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at the Inn at Poland Way, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on August 14, 1945, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late John F. Kukura and Mary (Hrehovcik) Kukura, he lived a life filled with love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Ron proudly graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1963, and a couple years later, married the love of his life, Sally A. (Duracky) Kukura on May 18, 1968.

He furthered his studies and earned a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University in 1975, a testament to his commitment to lifelong learning. Ronald dedicated his professional life to the field of manufacturing engineering, spending most of his career at Wemco and TAM Metals. His ten years at TAM Metals were particularly special, as he thrived in an environment that allowed him to showcase his skills and passion for engineering, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure to work alongside him.

He was known for his caring nature, always supporting his grandchildren in every way possible. He was always cheering them on at their sporting events, making sure they knew he was their number one fan. His love and encouragement undoubtedly influenced their lives positively, fostering a strong family bond that will endure for generations to come. Ron was also a proud Little League coach in Hollis, New Hampshire, where he first developed a love for teaching the young generations.

Ron's passions extended beyond family; he had a profound love for cars and devoted much of his spare time to maintaining them. He also enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, Sally, creating countless treasured memories together.

His legacy will live on through his loving family, including his daughter Stacy (David) Wyent, and his son Ronald Kukura Jr., as well as his five beloved grandchildren: Kate, Morgan, Kyle, Drew, and Jack. He shared laughter and life lessons with his brother Ray Kukura, his sister-in-law Sharon Kukura, and his brothers-in-law Gary (Ann) Duracky and Bob (Maryanne) Duracky.

Ron is predeceased by his parents, and his brother John Kukura, who together shaped the values and morals that defined the man he became.
