AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at St. Columba Cathedral for Ronald C. Lawrence age 60 of Austintown who had been a 34 year cancer survivor, passed away Friday evening at his home after a one year battle with cancer.
Ronald was born January 21, 1945 in Youngstown, the son of Charles and Isabel Nyers Lawrence.
He was a 1963 graduate of Austintown Fitch H.S. where he excelled in football and track. He then attended Muskingham College where he played football and later attended Youngstown College. He worked as a supervisor for Delphi Packard Electric for Over 37 years, was an avid golfer and fisherman, and was an enthusiastic supporter of Austintown Fitch, Youngstown State, and Ohio State University.
He is survived by his wife the former Peggy McCarthy whom he married February 15, 1969, his parents Charles and Isabel Lawrence of Austintown, two sons Scott Theresa Lawrence of Austintown, and Ronald Jr. Amy Lawrence of University Heights, Ohio, three brothers, Fred Adrienne Lawrence, and Jeff Lori Lawrence both of Dayton, Nevada, and Charles Lawrence of New York City, and three grandsons, Christopher, Jacob, and Ronald C. III "Charlie" Lawrence.
