AUSTINTOWN - Burial will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brunstetter Cemetery for Ronald Lee Sweet Sr., 68, who passed away Wednesday at his home from cancer.

Ronald was born June 5, 1944, in Landrum, S.C., a son of the late Roscoe and Madeline Estella Ash Sweet.

Ronald retired from the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 157, the D.A.V. Everglade State No. 2 at large, VFW Post No. 4237 in Youngstown, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Meander No. 3298.

Ronald leaves three sons, Michael C. Sweet of Georgia, William Sweet of Derby, Kan., and Ronald L. Sweet Jr. of Georgia; a stepson, Thomas Kuhns of Austintown; a sister, Margaret Solinger of Girard; and five grandchildren.

Ronald was also preceded in death by his lifetime partner, Carroll Joyce Allison.

Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
