Boardman- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Friday at St. Charles Church and prayers said at 9:15AM in the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Rose Cronin, age 84, of Boardman, who died peacefully early Tuesday morning at Whispering Pines Village where she had resided for six and a half years.

Rose was born January 7, 1924 in Youngstown to the late Vito and Mary Massari DePietro.

She attended East High School, and was a member of St. Anthony's Ladies Auxiliary and St. Charles Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin J. Cronin, whom she married December 2, 1942, he died June 8, 1976. She is also preceded by a sister, Nicolena Zitto DeNicholas and twin brother, Fred DePietro.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Peter Panis of Canfield, Edward J. Donna Cronin of Estero, FL; her sister and best friend Eleanor Stoich of Boardman; six grandchildren, Tracey Dan Citron of Egan, MN, Tony Cronin of New York, NY, Stephanie Panis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Gregory Panis of Boyton Beach, FL, Stacey Sullivan of Beaver, PA, and Kristen Michael Powers of Canfield; four great grandchildren, Charlotte, Garrett, Brooke, and Jessica.

Friends may call Thursday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.

Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the Staff and Administration of Whispering Pines Village, and Rose's special private care givers, Barbara Burnside, Tina Vaughn, Lana Hogue, and Carol Basinger.
