AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 1 p.m., at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Msgr Ken Miller, for Mrs. Rose Marie D'Eramo, who died Saturday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Mrs. D'Eramo, affectionately known as "Debbie," was born on Sept. 17, 1939, in Youngstown, daughter of Alva and Helen (Douglas) Drake, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Rose Marie graduated from Boardman High School in 1957.

She later graduated from the University of Mt. Union in 1961. While at Mt. Union, she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.

After graduating from Mt. Union, Rose Marie began working at the Zanesville YWCA, and later taught English at Austintown Fitch High School, where she met her husband, James L. D'Eramo.

Rose Marie loved all needle work, was an avid reader, and lastly loved helping people, and did so by tutoring students. She was always known for her kind heart.

She married the love of her life, James L. "Jim" D'Eramo on April 5, 1971. Jim predeceased her on Nov. 19, 2015.

She will be greatly missed by her sister, Diane (Jerry) Armbrecht of Boardman; sister-in-law Marilyn D'Eramo of Austintown; four nieces and nephews, Judy (Craig) Kastner of Atlanta., Paul A. (Elizabeth) D'Eramo, Diana Madison, and Daria D'Eramo, all of Alliance; and many great friends.

Besides her husband Jim, and parents, Alva and Helen, Rose, Marie was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Mary Helen.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 12:50 p.m. at the funeral home.
